Néné Yaya - Luxury leather goods made in Senegal

Behind Néné Yaya are two sisters, Marième and Néné, who transformed a frustration into a luxury brand: not being able to find bags that reflected both their Senegalese heritage and their demand for international quality.

They then created a luxury leather goods brand manufactured in Dakar, with a clear idea: to prove that bags designed and produced in Senegal can stand at the same level as those from major European houses.

At the heart of Néné Yaya is local craftsmanship: high-quality calf and lamb leathers, textured finishes inspired by exotic skins, and Senegalese workshops where each edge, each stitch, each bag is worked and checked by hand.

In a few years, the brand established itself as a benchmark in Senegalese and African luxury leather goods, carried by influential women and customers between Dakar, Paris, Montreal, and Toronto.

Kente & Gold chose Néné Yaya because it embodies exactly what we want to champion: rooted luxury, made in Africa, where the artisans' touch is central and where each bag carries a story as much as a signature.
