Welcome to Kente & Gold. These General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern 
all your purchases from our lifestyle brand.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

Kente & Gold is an Afro-Canadian lifestyle brand based in Ottawa, Ontario, 
specializing in curating limited collections of African textiles, 
wearable art creations, and consciously selected objects.

2. APPLICATION OF THE GTC

These conditions apply to all purchases made on the kenteandgold.ca website. 
By making a purchase, you fully accept these conditions.

3. PRODUCTS & SELECTION

3.1 Nature of Collections

All products offered by Kente & Gold are limited editions or small series items. 
Each collection is carefully curated to guarantee:
- the authenticity of African textiles
- durability and quality of manufacture
- ethical production
- the history and provenance of each piece

3.2 Availability
Products are offered in limited quantities. Once sold out, they are not 
restocked. Kente & Gold cannot guarantee the restocking of out-of-stock 
products.

 3.3 Product Descriptions
Descriptions, dimensions, and materials are provided for informational purposes only. 
Minor variations may occur due to the handmade nature of the items.

 4. ORDERS

 4.1 Order Process
1. Select desired products
2. Add to cart
3. Proceed to payment and delivery
4. Confirmation by email

4.2 Order Validation
An order is valid only when payment has been accepted. You will receive 
a confirmation email within 24 hours.

4.3 Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec) and applicable laws 
in Canada, you have a period of **14 calendar days** 
from the receipt of your order to exercise your right 
of withdrawal, without having to justify your decision or pay any penalty.

**Return conditions:**
- Items must be returned in their original condition (unworn, unaltered)
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
- A return receipt must be requested for tracking

5. PRICES & PAYMENT

 5.1 Pricing
- Prices are indicated in Canadian dollars (CAD)
- Rates may vary depending on the customer's location
- Displayed prices do not include taxes (GST/QST)

- Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay
- PayPal

All payments are secured via our certified payment system (Shopify Payments).

 5.3 Data Security
Your bank details are never stored on our servers. 
Payment is fully secured and encrypted.

6. DELIVERY & SHIPPING

7. LIABILITY & WARRANTIES

7.1 Quality Guarantee
Kente & Gold guarantees that all products are:
- Authentic and conform to their description
- Of superior quality and durable
- Ethically manufactured

 7.2 Manufacturing Defects
In case of a clear defect found upon receipt (defective stitching, 
damaged material, non-conformity to the description), Kente & Gold undertakes to:
- Offer free return shipping
- Offer a refund or exchange

You must report any defect within **7 days** of receipt.

 7.3 Limitation of Liability
Kente & Gold cannot be held responsible for:
- Normal wear and tear of products after use
- Damage caused by abusive or improper use
- Personal modifications made to items
- Losses or delays in delivery beyond our control

 8. DATA PRIVACY POLICY

 9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on the site (texts, images, logos, photographs) are the exclusive 
property of Kente & Gold or its partners. Any reproduction, distribution 
or use without written authorization is prohibited.

10. RULES OF CONDUCT

By using the Kente & Gold website, you agree to:
- Not use the site for illegal purposes or purposes contrary to public order
- Not upload or transmit viruses or malware
- Not scrape or automate access to content
- Respect intellectual property rights

11. MODIFICATION OF THE GTC

Kente & Gold reserves the right to modify these conditions at any time. 
Changes will be communicated on this page with an update date.

12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

12.1 Applicable Law
These conditions are governed by the laws of Canada (Ontario and Quebec depending on the location).
